One of the main questions we receive when people use Keenious is whether we store or train on their documents. The short answer is: No.

However, to be fully transparent, we want to explain how we use caching to enhance the user experience and facilitate cross-language recommendations.

This process involves temporarily storing an encrypted version of your text for analysis and recommendation purposes. The encrypted text is processed, but the original text itself is never retained. A duplicate analysis of your document may be stored temporarily to deliver results; however, it is not possible to reconstruct the original text from this analysis.

To achieve this, we generate a unique 32-character hash (checksum) of your text. This checksum allows us to reference prior analyses without storing the original text. When you search with the same text again, the system generates the identical checksum, enabling retrieval of the previous analysis from the cache. This improves performance and speeds up subsequent searches while maintaining privacy.

All cached files are temporary, never shared with third parties, and automatically expire one hour after the last search with the same text. If the same text is searched again after expiration, a new full analysis is conducted to ensure accurate and up-to-date recommendations.

We implement these measures to uphold data security, protect user privacy, and ensure compliance with our privacy commitments.
