Plus for Teams: Seats and Billing

Per-seat pricing, prorated seat changes, and when charges appear on your invoice.

Plus for Teams grows and shrinks with your team. Billing is per seat — one for each member with Plus access, while everyone else keeps their free account — and a seat only costs money for the time it exists. This article explains when charges and credits appear as you make changes.

The subscription starts with one seat (the person who set it up). Team admins grant or remove Plus access on the Team → Members page.

Adding a seat

When you grant Plus access, the member can use it right away. You only pay for the seat from that day onward: the price is prorated for the time left in your current billing period, and you see the exact amount for confirmation before the seat is added. The amount is then included on your next monthly invoice — so on quarterly and yearly plans, new seats are billed within a month rather than waiting for renewal.

Removing a seat

Removing Plus access also applies right away, and the unused time on that seat comes back to your team as a credit — it is automatically applied to your upcoming invoices rather than refunded to your card. Every subscription keeps at least one seat; to remove the last one, cancel the subscription from the Settings → Plan page.

Changing the billing cycle

You can switch between monthly, quarterly, and yearly billing at any time, and the switch takes effect immediately: unused time on your old cycle is credited toward the new one, and the difference is settled right away. The steps are in How to change your Keenious Plus Billing Cycle.

Renewal

At the end of each billing period, your subscription simply renews with your current number of seats at the regular per-seat price.

Reading your invoice

All invoices are available in the Billing Portal, opened from Settings → Plan. If your team size changed during a billing period, the invoice shows two lines for the change: a credit for the remaining time at your old team size, and a charge for the same time at the new size. The difference between them is simply the prorated cost of the seats you added.
