The Keenious Microsoft Word Add-in seamlessly integrates into your workflow. Enhance your research without leaving your document.

Updated over a week ago

Adding Keenious to your Microsoft Word is simple (especially if you use this guide πŸ˜‰). We recommend doing this directly within Microsoft Word. Let's get started!

1. Find the add-in button in Microsoft Word

Within Microsoft Word, find the Insert tab next to the Home tab, and then click the Add-ins button. From there, click Get Add-ins.

The image shows the Microsoft Word ribbon with the Insert tab selected. The Add-ins button is clicked, revealing a dropdown menu with "Get Add-ins" highlighted and "My Add-ins" listed below.

2. Search the Office Add-ins Store

From the Office Add-ins Store Page, use the search bar and search for Keenious. Click the Add button.

The image shows the Office Add-ins window in Microsoft Word, with the Insert tab selected. The search term "Keenious" is entered, displaying the Keenious Research Explorer add-in with an "Add" button.

3. Boring (but important!) Legal Stuff

To use Keenious, you must agree to our license terms and privacy policy. Press Continue if you agree.

The image shows a pop-up window in Microsoft Word for the Keenious Research Explorer add-in. It displays license terms and privacy policy information with "Cancel" and "Continue" buttons, with the "Continue" button highlighted. Pressing "Continue" indicates acceptance of the license terms and privacy policy.

The Keenious add-in should now be installed in your Microsoft WordπŸš€

To activate it you will need to click the Keenious button on the Home tab.

Having issues with adding Keenious to Word?βš™οΈ

To install Keenious it is required that your Office account has permission to download and install add-ins for Word. If it’s a personal or family account that you have paid for yourself, then this will usually not be an issue.

If your account is managed by your organization, such as a university, and the administrator for that organization has disabled the installation of add-ins, then you will unfortunately be unable to add Keenious to Word. You will have to talk to your administrator, most likely the IT department at your organisation, and ask them to make it possible for users to download and install the Keenious add-in.
